SUMMARY:Fine Arts & Crafts Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Lakes Region Fine Arts & Crafts Festival is one of the oldest events in the Lakes Region and is hosted by the Meredith Area Chamber of  Commerce. Held on the Main Street and amid the shops at the Mill Falls Marketplace this Festival from the beginning has attracted high quality artists and craftsmen and continues to be one of the most respected arts and crafts events in the Lakes Region. \n\n\n\nThe 80+ juried artists and craftsmen will present high quality merchandise.  Featured in the craft category will be pottery\, leather\, wood products\, weaving\, quilting\, metal sculpture\, jewelry\, baskets\, dolls\, and toys.  Art work will include watercolor\, oil paintings\, pen and ink drawings\, photography\, and theorem paintings. \n\n\n\nMusical entertainment\, demonstrations and culinary delights add to the festive atmosphere as you stroll through the artisans and beautiful Meredith scenery. DESCRIPTION:Music and Art come together in Meredith Parks \n\n\n\nJohn Irish\, one of the five performing artists\, for Sunday Sculpture and Music in the Parks\, will be playing at the “Henry David Thoreau” sculpture by Janice Rudolf in Scenic Park.\n\n\n\nMEREDITH — The Greater Meredith Program’s Meredith Sculpture Walk will offer Sunday Sculpture and Music in the Parks from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Heskey and Scenic Parks on August 27\, 2023. Enjoy the Arts and Crafts festival sponsored by the Greater Meredith Area Chamber of Commerce on Main Street and then stroll on down to Meredith’s lakeside parks to enjoy music by local musicians who will play near the sculptures. \n\n\n\nMusicians will be stationed at five park locations on the Meredith Sculpture Walk. The sculpture locations and musicians in Heskey Park are # 18 “Loon in Flight”\, Paul and Kathy Hubert\, and #20 & 21 “Asteroid” and “Mega Dandelion”\, Rocket Rick. In Scenic Park\, # 24 “Henry David Thoreau”\, John Irish\, # 27 “Mother and Child”\, Bernie Blaum and #31 “Catching the Wind”\, Peter Brunette. \n\n\n\nThe Meredith Sculpture Walk is proud to promote its ten-year anniversary. Meredith Village Savings Bank is its anniversary presenting sponsor. A committee of the Greater Meredith Program\, the Meredith Sculpture Walk is committed to developing awareness and enjoyment of public art in Meredith\, NH for residents and visitors. It is a year-round\, outdoor\, juried exhibition. \n\n\n\nThis will be the tenth year for the sculpture walk featuring thirty-two works positioned throughout Meredith in high visibility areas along Main Street\, on the grounds of the Mill Falls complex and in the Hesky and Scenic lakeside parks. A record twenty-eight new sculptures have been installed this year.
