DESCRIPTION:Get ready for Meredith on Canvas\, a Plein Air Event. This event\, organized by the Meredith On Canvas Group in conjunction with the Greater Meredith Program\, is excited to announce the sophomore year for plein air artists to paint at various areas on the Do-The-Loop Trail in Meredith on the first Saturday in June\, July and August\, with rain dates the second Saturdays of each month. The public is invited to a reception Saturday\, September 7th from 1-3pm featuring an artist meet and greet and sale at Karlins Wine\, Cheese & Provisions\, 20 Main Street in Meredith. After the show\, the work will be displayed and for sale at The Galleries at 30 Main thru September 30th.  \n\n\n\nPlein air painting is of or relating to painting in outdoor daylight. Or relating to a branch of impressionism that attempts to represent outdoor light and air. \n\n\n\nThe public is encouraged to use the Do The Loop map and come watch these amazing artists as they create beautiful works of art featuring the sights in and around the town of Meredith and Meredith Bay on Lake Winnipesaukee.

DESCRIPTION:The town of Meredith will be packed with Scarecrows this October! \n \n \nMeredith’s Annual Scarecrow Stroll is a friendly competition among area businesses. This free\, family-friendly activity includes a raffle for the public. \n \n \nYou are invited to pick up a ballot at any participating business and vote for your favorite. Each ballot cast enters YOU into the raffle\, drawn at random and announced November 2. The raffle winner receives the coveted Cauldron of Goodies\, packed with treats and sponsored by DeTolla Dental. The business that receives the most ballot votes is the winner of the People’s Choice Award and will receive a trophy and bragging rights. \n \n \nA panel of judges will also assemble and determine which business has the most creative business-themed display. They’ll also receive a fun prize. \n \n \nAn interactive map of the Scarecrows can be seen HERE. DESCRIPTION:Music and Art come together in Meredith Parks \n\n\n\nJohn Irish\, one of the five performing artists\, for Sunday Sculpture and Music in the Parks\, will be playing at the “Henry David Thoreau” sculpture by Janice Rudolf in Scenic Park.\n\n\n\nMEREDITH — The Greater Meredith Program’s Meredith Sculpture Walk will offer Sunday Sculpture and Music in the Parks from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Heskey and Scenic Parks on August 27\, 2023. Enjoy the Arts and Crafts festival sponsored by the Greater Meredith Area Chamber of Commerce on Main Street and then stroll on down to Meredith’s lakeside parks to enjoy music by local musicians who will play near the sculptures. \n\n\n\nMusicians will be stationed at five park locations on the Meredith Sculpture Walk. The sculpture locations and musicians in Heskey Park are # 18 “Loon in Flight”\, Paul and Kathy Hubert\, and #20 & 21 “Asteroid” and “Mega Dandelion”\, Rocket Rick. In Scenic Park\, # 24 “Henry David Thoreau”\, John Irish\, # 27 “Mother and Child”\, Bernie Blaum and #31 “Catching the Wind”\, Peter Brunette. \n\n\n\nThe Meredith Sculpture Walk is proud to promote its ten-year anniversary. DESCRIPTION:The Lakes Region Fine Arts & Crafts Festival is one of the oldest events in the Lakes Region and is hosted by the Meredith Area Chamber of  Commerce. Held on the Main Street and amid the shops at the Mill Falls Marketplace this Festival from the beginning has attracted high quality artists and craftsmen and continues to be one of the most respected arts and crafts events in the Lakes Region. \n\n\n\nThe 80+ juried artists and craftsmen will present high quality merchandise.  Featured in the craft category will be pottery\, leather\, wood products\, weaving\, quilting\, metal sculpture\, jewelry\, baskets\, dolls\, and toys.  Art work will include watercolor\, oil paintings\, pen and ink drawings\, photography\, and theorem paintings. \n\n\n\nMusical entertainment\, demonstrations and culinary delights add to the festive atmosphere as you stroll through the artisans and beautiful Meredith scenery.
