The GMP’s Promotions Committee invites all Meredith area businesses to register for 2026’s “Scarecrow Stroll” Competition! You can click the button above to use Zeffy to both register and pay the registration fee, or you can click the button below to print a PDF of the form and mail it and a check to the GMP.

Registration Fee: $25

Registration Deadline: Monday, September 21

How it Works:

  • A panel of judges will determine the winner
  • The public is given ballots to vote and the display with the most votes on October 31 will receive the People’s Choice Award
  • All ballots cast are entered into a drawing; one winner receives the “Cauldron of Goodies”!
  • Scarecrows must be displayed by October 1st and remain in good standing through October 31st
  • Winners are announced on October 31, 2026
