Façade & Site Improvement Grant Program

The Greater Meredith Program is dedicated to enhancing the economic vitality, preserving the historical and cultural heritage, and beautifying the town of Meredith. One way we achieve this is by supporting local businesses and organizations through our Façade & Site Improvement Grant program.

This grant is designed to assist property owners and merchants who are committed to promoting and preserving the Meredith community. The Greater Meredith Program Design Committee encourages eligible applicants to apply for grants of up to $6,000. Previous recipients include Phu Jee’s Restaurant on Main St., The Ledge on Rt 3 South (across from the League of NH Craftsmen), and the entrance to Harbor Hill Campground on Rt. 25, Meredith Grange Exterior Improvements and Landscaping, Fuller Building, Signage for Patricias, Interlakes High School Trees, all in Meredith.

To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• The façade or site must be located within the Town of Meredith.
• Proposed improvements must be visible from the street and align with the Façade & Site Improvement Design Committee guidelines.
• No limit to the number of applications per applicant submitted.
• Applicant must share in the cost of the project in an amount equal to or greater than the GMP contribution.

The GMP Design Committee will consider the following factors when reviewing applications:

• The visual impact of the proposed improvements.
• The historical significance of the property.
• The potential to leverage GMP funding with other sources.
• Project much represent significant improvement in the building or site.
